Ignited Maths Lab: Gulf English School Students Excel in Mental Maths Challenge
Students from the Secondary Mathematics Department at Gulf English School recently participated in the prestigious Ignited Maths Lab competition — a dynamic and demanding Mental Maths challenge aimed at sharpening numerical reasoning and mental agility. Designed to stretch even the most capable young minds, the competition required students to solve 50 Mental Maths questions of varying complexity within a tightly restricted time frame, without the use of calculators. The experience tested not only their Mathematical knowledge but also their speed, accuracy, and ability to remain composed under pressure.
We are extremely proud to announce that a number of our Gifted and Talented students rose to the occasion and successfully qualified for the GCC finals, representing the school at an elite level. Among the standout performers was Year 7 student Khalid Al Khalifa, who achieved a perfect score of 100% in the previous round — an extraordinary accomplishment that highlights his exceptional talent, focus, and dedication to Mathematics. His performance is a shining example of the high standards and academic excellence fostered within the Mathematics Department at Gulf English School. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Khalid and all participating students for their outstanding achievements and commitment to Mathematical excellence.
